Hello Blogging friends!
This coming week I am decorating clients homes for the holidays.
Every home and office I decorate is a pleasure to do.
I saw the wreath above when I visited Disney California Adventure on my birthday.
A rainbow of colors! Simple and very festive, I stopped and stared and counted ... over 80 Christmas balls on one wreath!
For many years I decorated May Company Department stores ... because of this experience, I tend to not only see them as beautiful I also count ribbons, lights, ornaments, etc ... thinking of what it would take to create what I am viewing.
Here's a great wreath idea for a wall in your home.
I took down my clients art and put up 3 wreathes filled with silver and gold ribbons, and placed each wreath under a spot light for extra sparkle. Very pretty and simple. No balls ornaments required:)
Staircases are always fun to decorate with garland. This home I put the garland at the base of the rails instead of at the top and a tall tree on a pedestal half way up the landing.
This staircase on the left side had a great ledge, so I added different height spheres for interest and it also makes a great backdrop behind the Christmas tree.
The entry way on the right, I used an urn on a pedestal for a small Christmas tree and wrapped gold netting at the base for a dramatic touch. It also hides the cords for the twinkle lights.
I am putting away Thanksgiving decorations today and clearing the table of all the autumn decor.
My daughter is excited to pull out Christmas and get started here on the home front. She knows me to well. If I wait until after I finish decorating all my clients homes...I won't put as much out!
Each home is different and each clients decor is unique.
I have a busy week ahead of me... hope to blog again after all my decorating jobs are completed!
Here comes Christmas!
