Hello friends, thank you for stopping by for a quick tour around my client's home ...
This Summer, it has been my pleasure to work on this beautiful historical home, enhancing its country charm.
Antique treasures can found sprinkled around in each room...
The original brick flooring in the foyer was recently sand blasted and sealed for a fresh new look and an area rug added warmth and softness.
I placed some charming pillows that I found in the guest bedroom on the halltree bench. It's really fun to poke around client's homes to find accessories that I can repurpose in a new setting.
I also grabbed a sun hat from the sewing room and added a red bloom for a pop of color, it fit perfectly as a finishing touch for the entry.
Look at the front door from the hallway! Quite charming, don't you think?
A quick peek of the progress in the familyroom ... still finshing up.
The antique lamp recieved a new velvet shade and bouillon fringe attached with sealah no sew tape!
One photo to share from the diningroom, my Mom made new red pleated drapery panels for the french doors ... maybe, a few more china plates?
Off to the kitchen for some country cuteness!
I completely fell in love with the new and improved chandelier, it was orignally an oil rubbed bronze look. Good old Krylon spray paint did the trick, and the bright red finish turned out fabulous!
Cute polka dot lamp shades, a fabric sleeve to cover the chain, and a pretty ceiling medallion to finish off the look.
The valances turned out just like I had envisioned, they were a big hit! My Mom did the hard part, sewing what I had designed, we are an excellent team!
I enjoyed displaying some existing rooster and chicken accessories above the valances.
The homeowner loves to sew, so I put her to work on the pretty table cloth for the kitchen table.
Last but not least I hung two darling aprons in the nook corner.
Well, that's all for now ... thanks for stopping by for a peek :)
Have a good week!
