Hi Blogging friends!
Do you every feel like you have been treated like a Queen? By your spouse, family or friends? This may mean something different to each of you...
For myself, just doing something out of the ordinary, going to a creative boutique, a drive to the beach, sitting in backyard listening to the fountain, just stepping out of my regular routine can turn into a pampered feeling day.
I received a email last week from a dear friend Paula Prass. She said she was flying in to San Diego for a few days, could we have lunch?! Of course, I was thrilled to hear from her and excited that we could spend a day together! Quickly I called and changed a few appointments around so I could email her back and say YES! Is Tuesday OK?!
We had an amazing time talking over lunch about our lives, interior design and her new fabric-line. After lunch we walked around, enjoyed the sunshine and looked at the decor at the Hilton San Diego.
Such a great color palette in the lobby. The draperies were very interesting...an open weave cotton with tea stained circles. Paula and I both loved them!
I like to look up at light fixtures when I am in a hotel, usually the lights are large scale and can be very eye catching. How fun is this?! Glass bubbles!
After we finished our self guided tour. We hopped in my car and headed to Ocean Beach.
I called a few blogging friends last minute in the area and said can Paula and I come meet you and shop?!
Joy had invited me down a few times to Vignettes a beautiful store filled with inspiring treasures. Heather had also told me what a wonderful vintage store it was! Perfect timing to explore this special place.
Can you see why I was feeling a little Royal and like a Queen for the day? Sparkle everywhere and shopping with artistic friends...
I turned the corner and entered France.
This beautiful french armoire above is going home with Sweet Jane once she remeasures.
Can't wait to hear if it fits!
These paper lanterns are hanging in Joy's area of the store. Such fun whimsy colors!
I enjoyed browsing in her space. She had some adorable art pieces. Many adorned with glitter like this one.
If you live in the San Diego area and love what you are seeing...stop by this sea side french inspired store.
We ended the day with a yummy dessert next door at a bakery called Azucar.
What a pleasure it was to spend the day in San Diego with such creative blogging friends and enjoy each others company!
