Hello Friends,
Thanksgiving will be here before we know it! Where did this year go?
It is almost time to shop for the thanksgiving feast and pull out your china to set the table.
Do you enjoy getting ready for the holiday meal?
Sometimes I get over whelmed shopping at the market for items to cook, but I never get stressed in the china department! lol
I guess you could say I have a passion for decorating and designing table-scapes.
Love to set the table up early so I can add special details to each place-setting. Kind of funny because I am the last minute shopper for groceries for cooking...that's pretty important on Thanksgiving Day!
This holiday is such a wonderful time to bless your family and friends with a warm meal, special traditions and give thanks to God for all of our blessings.
Hope you see a few new ideas you can incorporate into your Thanksgiving table.
More ideas HERE if you love tablescapes at Susan's!
My inspiration began in the garden picking pretty blooms and gathering rose petals.
I sprinkled rose petals around the creamy white lace tablecloth.
The centerpeice is an old iron bird bath... I brought it in from the garden and placed it on my dining room table. I added fresh flowers, trailing greenery, fresh apples and a green cinderella pumpkin in the center to finish the bountiful centerpiece.
I have entered my centerpeice in a contest at Better Homes and Garden Magazine. I just found out my creation is moving up to the next stage of the competition VOTE HERE until November 21st!
My table is filled with heirlooms, wedding china and handmade ceramic turkeys created by my teens when they were toddlers.
Happy Pink Saturday! Thank you for stopping by Pink ladies!
I love Beverly's special Saturdays filled with inspiration and thank you so much Beverly for featuring my blog today~~~
Stop by HERE to say hello and join in our Pink celebration!
I decided to use raffia to make bows and tied a few fragrant herbs and flowers on each linen napkin. A simple but elegant look and each place setting will have a lovely fragrance too!
I have a rose bush filled with rosehips, so I also added a few sprigs in each setting.
Everything I placed on my table I had stored in my cupboard. No money spent on decorations. Use what you have or borrow treasures from a friend.
A few strands of pearls can add an elegant touch to your setting.
Set your table-scape up at least one day before your feast you will be so glad you did!
One last idea, if you have a scrabble game hidden in a closet pull it out. Have the family set up words around the table that represent Thanksgiving.
Enjoyed sharing with you today, I am grateful for each one of you that has taken the time to stop by. Hopefully I have inspired you to move forward in a creative way and bless your family during this holiday season.
Thankful,
:Kay Ellen
