A bouquet of newly sharpened pencils

School started on Monday for my two college kiddos! 

I did a little shopping at the 99 cent store to buy a few school supplies... 

 

 

A fun and quick DIY;

I wrapped ribbon around paper and added pencils as a bouquet...Tucked a twenty dollar bill under the pencils.  

A new chapter has begun in our lives now that our youngest has begun her college journey this week and our oldest is returning for his third year of college... You are never to old for a little gift of school supplies!

Sometimes the simplest gift ideas can mean the most no matter what the age.

I am sure the 20.00 bill will be gone tomorrow! haha

(You've Got Mail) quote was on my mind;

"Don't you love New York in the Fall? It makes me want to buy school supplies. I would send you a newly sharpened bouquet of pencils if I knew your address." 

                          
 

I wish we were in cooler Fall feeling weather~~~not yet in southern California!

White gladiolus in my Living-room...

I bought these pretty blooms at Ralph's grocery store this weekend for $1.99  

Such a bargain!

Scattered seashells on a vintage silver platter...

I pulled out my favorite peroulator coffee pot turned into a whimsy vase added some curly willow twigs to complement the flowers ~~~ a creative idea for a centerpiece.

It is hot at your house? Another melting day in Riverside ~~~ 106 yikes!

Crazy hot summer day, but my bargain betty gladiolus are making me smile.

I am back!

Happy August friends!

This has been a very busy working summer mixed with returning from a road trip to Oregon and back. It is nice to be home but wow melting weather at my house and a little earth quake a few hours ago woke me up so now I am wide awake...blog time!

I have so much to share but decided to put at the top of my list a Jute Webbing Tote Bag a friend of mine Debi Beard designed.

Debi is a very creative and artful lady. She has a darling store in Solana Beach called HOUSE VINTAGE. Make sure the next time you are near the San Deigo area to stop by her charming shop, you will love it! Debi also makes fabulous You Tube videos. Debi saw my DIY yo-yo creations with Sealah Tape and her creative juices started flowing! 

Debi's latest  DIY video she used my parents product... sealah no sew tape and created the cutest tote bag...Seriously wonderful.
