I was grocery shopping last night and as I was finishing up the Valentine section caught my attention...Cute cards, pink and red hearts and I started remembering all the classroom parties I did when my kids were in grade school, craft creating and making special treats. Wonderful memories...
Gosh, where did those years go?
Feeling crafty ~~~ I decided to buy a heart shaped box of chocolates and alter the cover with whimsical elements.
Vintage paper, ribbons, rick rack, scrabble letters and tinsel. I embellished all the details and finished the project quickly with Sealah tape!
You are never to old to be crafty! Right?
and a few mystery chocolates for my husband and college kids to try. Ha-Ha

January 2014 has been a very busy month! Before it slips aways I wanted to share a few instagram photos from the Craft and Hobby Mega Show and our booth!
My Mom created SEALAH TAPE adhesives over 10 years ago and she is well known in the home dec, window covering and quilt industries... so this was a real treat to show off the doubled sided clear adhesive for the first time at the CHA mega show and demo how easy the Jodees Inc Sealah Tape is to use.
A big thank you to my husband Mark Hammar for the new graphics and packaging and video for 2014. Everything looked amazing!
We showed a variety of artful examples how quickly you can create crafty projects with embelishing paper, burlap, felt, silk petals, wood, metal, glass, rubber, fabric & even candles along with a (make and take) bookmark.
Amazing distributors and craft store buyers came by to say hello from around the globe and placed orders with us.
Creative soul that I am ...I loved talking with other artists and seeing what they were creating too!
Enjoyed visiting and seeing Debbie and Shea again and I took a little time away from our booth to make a necklace at A gilded life. The booth they designed was stunning!!
Jenny and Aaron are very talanted team I met a few years ago at an art event.... very sweet too. They have a great new mixed media book out and a new line of hand painted paper ... really beautiful details on each artisic sheet!
Who doesn't love Mod Podge? Really great to chat with Cathie & Steve always sharing great projects ~~~ such a fun duo team!
Mark has several books published on creative crafting ... super talented and I have felt a creative connection with him from years ago with my visual merchandising back ground, excited to have his most recent craft book to get inspired!
The week flew by ~~ but before we headed home I had to pop over to Disneyland of course.
I was in a crafty mood last night and decided to create a DIY {no sew} table-runner.
Materials I used
2 yards of burlap
3 yards of scalloped lace
3 yards of ribbon
7 small dollies
7 vintage yo-yos
1/2" size roll of sealah {no sew) adhesive doubled sided tape
NO SEW Project!!!
I hemmed all four sides of the burlap with Sealah tape first because burlap frays very easily.
I applied Sealah no sew tape on the back of each element ahead of time before I started assembling the table-runner.
Press, Peel and Place each element...
I have a glass top table so I decided on a larger width runner 24" wide and finished the length at 54" so it would drop down on each side of the glass a few inches.
My fall feeling DIY tabletop decor is ready to enjoy...
The adorable scalloped wire basket was a gift from a sweet friend in Michagan.
Thank you Peggy!
The apples are fresh picked from Oak Glen and the sunflowers I purchased at my favorite grocery store TraderJoe's.
This was a simple and fun DIY to make and I completed it in less then one hour!
