First Day

Garden Blooms

 

I was out in my garden early this morning, cutting samples of my colorful roses before the day warms up ... I love using props and old treasures in my flower beds.

I moved this old weathered gate next to my lavendar and rosemary bushes, what a very fragrant spot! I really like the contrast of color and texture that the dried, brown pods (pulled from one of my shade trees) add to my little garden arrangement. So far, these pods are the only sign in my yard that Fall is on its way.

Almost Time

It's almost time to pick a pumpkin! Welcome to the first day of Fall.
