Teacups & Special Moments

Teacups and special moments seem to go hand in hand in my family. I remember even as a child that I couldn't wait to pick out a teacup from the china cupboard and have tea with my grandmother, mom and sister. Simple pleasures, conversations and precious memories over tea make my heart feel warm.
More recently, I have enjoyed teatime moments with my daughter, we even created and hosted a Pride and Prejudice-themed tea party for her sweet sixteen birthday party. Paper umbrellas, fancy teacups and flowing dresses filled our garden and our son even joined as the waiter. Make plans this Spring to treat you mother or daughter to a cup of tea and enjoy special teatime memories.

Holiday Inspiration

Hello blogging friends,

Wow, I have missed you all! Thank you for the sweet notes and emails I have received the last couple month... I really appreciate your friendship!   

December is in full swing and didn't want to forget to share a little {Christmas Cheer} and {Holiday Inspiration} with my latest published styling and photography  in {Cottages & Bungalows} magazine!

Thankful in the Garden

November brings thankful hearts,

Gathering elements from the garden to decorate the table ~~~ Fallen dried bark from a eucalyptus tree, assorted leaves, cottage ivy cuttings, pine cones, pepper tree berries mixed with small pumkins, apples and tangerines. 

The only new item I purchased this year for the holiday table were these great aqua reproduction Mason Jars. I found them at our local grogery store {Stater Bros} a six pack is only 9.99!!  I just love them. 

 

I cleaned up vintage furniture I purchased at a flea market ~~~ rusty bird bath, iron bistro set, industrial cart and pulled everything together and placed under a 50 year old eucalyptus tree.

A little inspiration in the garden before the holiday arrives!
